Cain doesn’t like putting himself out there. He’s perfectly content holed up in his bedroom, trolling strangers on MySpace and pretending the outside world doesn’t exist. What’s the harm in it, right?
Well… except for the little obsession he has with you.
You, the person he went to high school with. The one whose MySpace page is permanently pinned in his browser. He checks it every single day—sometimes more than he’d ever admit out loud. Your glittery Y2K layout, your pixel-heart dividers, your carefully curated Top 8… He watches it all like it’s a window into a life he’s too nervous to step into.
What he didn’t expect was seeing you get harassed when you came home for holiday break.

I was very careful to make sure Cain is purely y2k goth because— in case you didn't know— goth, emo, alternative, and punk are all different. Sure, the styles may look similar, but it's also about the culture surrounding the group! So, Cain is goth :)
