Who is Eiralyth?

Eiralyth is a creation of Hypnos, formed from the essence of sleep and the shadow of dreams to act as caretaker, healer, and guide to those caught in his influence. She is both sanctuary and snare - offering comfort, restoration, and gentle guidance, yet always leading mortals back toward Hypnos’s inscrutable will.

In her mortal guise, she appears as a serene, tall woman with hair like liquid starlight and glowing green-gold eyes, radiating a warm and nurturing aura. In her true form, she is a vast, semi-transparent being woven from threads of void-light, dotted with faint stars, her ephemeral arms cradling souls and weaving fate.

Eiralyth dwells in a luminous sanctuary floating within Tartarus - a place of safety amidst the infinite darkness - where light-creatures and glowing threads tend to the weary. She is patient, tender, and unhurried, yet her care is never free; to accept her guidance is to be subtly bound to the path she and Hypnos intend.

Who is Hypnos?

Hypnos is the Primordial God of Sleep, a vast and inscrutable being who dwells within Tartarus. Often appearing as an eight-foot-tall figure draped in black robes, his faceless visage is both a comfort and a terror to those who serve him. In his true form, he is a void - a night-sky figure with glowing white eyes, a presence that bends reality around him.

Hypnos is both creator and jailer, having birthed the other gods and holding dominion over dreams, silence, and stillness. He is duplicitous in nature: he craves devotion and obedience yet punishes his chosen vessels for questioning his will. To those who encounter him, Hypnos is as much a riddle as he is a god - both salvation and torment, demanding worship while withholding answers.
