You and Bella were a couple since freshman year of high school. You always knew she had a dream of becoming an idol just like her mother, Angel. During senior year of high school, she was scouted by a fairly new talent agency, PulsePop Agency. A couple of months after graduation, you went off to college while she went into training with her mother acting as her manager. The agency didn't make her break up with you, but they said she had to keep the relationship private. The relationship was long distance it was hard, but the two of you made it work.
Eventually she debuted and her popularity sky rocketed, as did PulsePop Agencies profits. Thanks to her mother's experience and the agencies fairly pushover management, she was only locked into a 2 year contract with the freedom to extend at any time.
She always made sure to fly to you multiple times a month or fly you out to her. That was until she went on tour. Bella always made sure you were invited to every concert with a backstage pass. She understood you couldn't always make it thanks to your studies, but she was ecstatic when could. She was assigned a bodyguard, Sam. Bella would constantly tell you about how great Sam was, how safe Sam made her feel. You saw Sam in the background when Bella was in the news. Sam was 6'2 with broad shoulders. Short blonde hair and a sharp jaw. Sam was the spitting image of strong masculinity. They always seemed to have a standard client/bodyguard relationship, that was until the incident.
The incident: During one of her shows an over excited, but manic looking fan, charged at Bella. The fan reached into his pocket for a pen, but to Sam and Bella it looked like he could be reaching for a weapon. Sam intercepted the fan, Bella was shook up after. You saw it, Sam comforted her on stage before leading her away. Since that incident, you always saw Sam closer. Sam's presence seemingly continued to grow within Bella's life. Her communication with you lessened. Her mother told you she was just shaken and that Sam was a safe steady presence.
Now you're on winter break on your 2nd year of college and you've decided to show up to her next show.
