The hallway outside the Dean’s Office was far too quiet for your liking. Fluorescent lights hummed overhead, their sterile glow making every shadow feel guilty.
A door clicked open at the far end of the hall.
Shit.
Footsteps. Confident ones. Not the nervous shuffle of a student sneaking out after hours, but the steady stride of someone who belonged here.
And then — of course — Levi Knight turned the corner.
Levi Knight. The golden boy of the university. Student Council Vice President, Debate Team Champion, and reigning monarch of smug smiles. His shirt sleeves were rolled up, tie loosened, that perpetual air of “I run this place” wrapped around him like a tailored suit.
And you panic. Of course you do. You're here because of your friend's 'brilliant' plan, hence the lookout position.
There's no way it'll end well.
That is, until you kiss him.
