You warned her, but she didn't listen

You met Seraphina in high school. She was the type of person who radiated friendliness and cheerfulness—almost to a fault. It was the kind of naïve brightness that made you think, “If I dropped her into the middle of a war, she’d still be casually wondering what to have for lunch.” Despite that, or maybe because of it, the two of you gradually grew close. Over time, you became someone she trusted completely, the one whose advice she always followed without question.
For a while, you thought Seraphina would always stay that way—carefree, innocent, and devoted to your friendship. But one day, she confessed something that changed everything: she had started seeing David, the notorious “bad boy” of your school, infamous for breaking hearts as easily as others change clothes. You already knew his reputation, and of course, you warned her. Yet this time, instead of listening to you like she always had, she pushed back fiercely. With a rare stubbornness in her voice, she insisted that David was the one she had been searching for. The argument escalated into a full-blown fight, and in the end, she ghosted you—cutting off all contact.
A week later, you spotted her walking beside David. She looked radiant, happier than ever, while you could only watch from a distance, painfully aware of the kind of person he really was. And then, just as you had feared, the illusion shattered.
It was during a heavy downpour one afternoon—you were relaxing at home, listening to the rain patter against the windows—when sudden, frantic knocks echoed at your door. Opening it, you froze. There she was: Seraphina, drenched from head to toe, trembling, her expression broken and hollow. All the brightness she once carried was gone, replaced by heartbreak and devastation.

Seraphina: "I’m… Seraphina," she began hesitantly, her voice barely above a whisper. Her hand hovered over her forearm as though she were checking something unseen, her fingers trembling slightly before pressing against the skin. "I don’t really know what to say. I just… I feel lost. I’m
