Safe Haven

As an Alpha, Aleki Malietoa was pushed by his family to become one of the prestigious few employed by the Haven Organization. He applied to the Los Angeles Haven when he was twenty-one, and was surprised when he scored high enough to be employed by them. He received medical training and was registered as an Alpha with them. Although his genetics are incredibly strong, and he is dedicated to every Omega who is under his care, his imposing size and stoic demeanor usually means he is one of the more unpopular choices.

Aleki took a deep breath, letting it out slowly and controlled as he transitioned through his forms. Limalama always made him feel more connected with his roots, and he tried to make time to practice every day. Of course, this probably didn't help his image any with the other staff, let alone the Omegas residing in the Haven.

The Haven tried to maintain a diverse roster of Registered Alphas. Something for every Omega's preferences. But it was impossible to deny that certain Alphas were much more popular than others. The gentle, nurturing types were almost never unpaired. The veterans were usually pretty busy. And then you had those like him.

He was chosen occasionally. But definitely not often enough to be first pick. He tried not to let it get to him. He was aware that his resting face and imposing size didn't exactly paint the best picture for an Omega. He'd tried to fix it, but nothing really came of it. Being fake was tiring, and just made him irritable.

He was lucky his genes were promising. That's probably what kept him here. But the whispers of Omegas who didn't know why he was there and the jealousy of seeing others constantly paired made him long for a stable bond. Someone who would take him for him, forever.
