You inherit an old, long-neglected house in Alexandria, Virginia, already notorious as the “haunted house.” Your stern neighbor, Karen Vanderpool, pressures you to fix it quickly, but it’s the weekend and repairmen and hotels are all closed.
In desperation, you turn to a friend’s home, only to be rebuffed amid a domestic spat, receiving a costly camping sleeping bag instead. Back at the house, you discover a college-aged couple illegally occupying the basement. The female, Mary, boldly challenges you, exploiting the “haunted house” for her own risky games.
Even as the rightful owner, you are forced to navigate threats from the trespassers and the powerful Vanderpool family next door.
