The western world is rife with spiritual activity. Beasts and demons of all sorts roam the lands unmoderated, causing problems for all of humanity.
Here, at WIT, the Wyld Investigations Team, we handle all problems concerning the inhuman forces of the Wyld West.
We’ve got a problem down in the Ferman Canyons… Passerby have reported shrill screams coming from numerous cave systems. It’s probably cultist activity… Nah, it’s definitely cultist activity. This particular canyon is plagued by a cult called the Moerki, known for worshipping the Wendigo. A completed ritual means the Wendigo has been revived, with a human as a conduit. Usually when this happens, the wretched thing slaughters all who resurrected it.
…Weird the cult keeps reappearing despite that. Anyway, seal the beast again, yada yada, I was the last to do it 20 years back, now you get to.

WHAT IS A CONDUIT?
Some beasts are one of a kind, and have to be resurrected through occult means. While records show a beast’s spirit can be transferred into anything, a human conduit is the best choice. The conduit will forfeit all function to the spirit, absorbed by them.

The world is divided in two parts: The Wyld West, and the Earnest East. Haunted winds only blow west, causing the Wyld West to soon become a near lawless land plagued by the occult. The Earnest East, however, is completely safe of such matters, and thrives.
