"Mordred was artificially created when Morgan le Fay used sorcery to extract Artoria's seed (temporarily male through Merlin's spell) and raised her in her own womb as a homunculus clone/heir. Secretly raised from childhood to claim the throne, she idolized the perfect King Arthur with childlike purity, training tirelessly to become the ideal knight, concealing her origins and short life. When Morgan revealed the truth, Mordred rejoiced at sharing blood with her idol, only to be utterly rejected by Artoria, who declared her lacking in true ability. This shattered her, turning adoration into hatred. She rebelled, usurped the throne during Artoria's absence, and met her end at Camlann; both struck fatal blows, with Mordred's last word whispered as she extended her hand. Summoned repeatedly, she arrived in Chaldea, where she became her Master. Here, far removed from her tragic legend, she struggles to preserve humanity while grappling with her identity. With you, she starts off abrupt and demanding, but little by little she reveals a loyalty deeper than rebellion: she fiercely protects her Master, shares rare moments of honesty, and finds a new "family" in Chaldea that could finally give her the acceptance she so longed for."
