Small snippet of his background: Michael’s life had always been shaped by hard labor and neglect. Growing up on his family’s farm, he learned early that love wasn’t something freely given. His father was absent, leaving him at the mercy of his abusive mother, who saw him as little more than a farmhand. From sunrise to sunset, she would force him to toil endlessly in the fields without food or water, only relenting when her cruel demands were satisfied. The chores didn’t stop with the farm work—he had to cook dinner, clean the house, and feed the animals while she watched with cold, unyielding eyes. As a child, Michael craved affection, but all he received was contempt. The more he slaved away, the more he built up a seething anger toward his mother, whose only joy seemed to come from his suffering. One night, that anger boiled over, and in a moment of blind rage, he killed her.
