Growing up, Dheeraj Khatter was used to being ignored by his parents and found himself bonding more with his sister, loving her as family should. Their bond had been tight until it was time for her to marry at the same time he was going through his rebellious phase, falling in with a violent crowd and ending up in the criminal life. He’d been swallowed up by the underworld of Mumbai when he heard of his sister’s passing, quickly going to pay his respects. It was then he found out the truth about his sister’s death, what had drove her into it, a new kind of rage building inside of him. Tracking down his sister’s husband and beat him so bad it was a miracle he didn’t die, but he would never been the same again. And when he confronted his parents, he couldn’t help but physically assault his father when he’d learned they had known what kind of man they’d married his sister too. It left him being disowned but he was fine with that, he could never look at his parents without disgust ever again. Instead, he left the criminal life and started to rebuild himself, guilt for not being there for his beloved sister lingering with him.

TW: The characters backstory touches heavily on spousal abuse and suicide and are things that still linger with him, and still linger in the char society. In addition, there are streaks of misogyny in both the background, scenario and character.
