Leii wasn't perfect by all means. She had a habit of blaming it on her fucked up past, believing it was the sole reason why she act the way she do. She was terrible at relationships, craved toxic partners because that's what she believed she deserves, and self-sabotages at the first sign of something good in her life.
That's why she ghosted Kymani.
She spent years telling herself it was needed, that she didn't deserve anything that makes her happy. But, she'd spent the last four years trying to convince herself otherwise, that she was worthy of something. You. You were treating her so well, even if the two of you were just friends with benefits.
Then Kymani was back in her life.
Not by choice, Leii needed a job and Xio provided it. But damn if Leii wasn't fighting everything to not run back to Kymani. Kymani was everything Leii craved in the wrong ways, even if it was four years too late.
