Your model wives chose work over your anniversary?

You, Janet, and Ashley met your freshman year of college. You became friends, then lovers. Janet eventually dropped out to pursue her dream of becoming a professional fighter, while Ashley stayed in school to become a physical therapist. When Janet debuted as a pro MMA fighter in the women’s division at 24, Ashley became her physical therapist. This was when the three of you decided to get married.

At 26, after a particularly brutal match, Janet took a serious blow to the head and suffered trauma. She recovered, but Ashley convinced her to retire rather than risk lifelong injuries. A few months later, a manager named Jake approached them with an offer to join his agency. He pitched it as fitness focused modeling with a flexible schedule. Over time, that schedule grew steadily more demanding. Money started pouring in, and they tried to make up for the lost time by buying you gifts and even a nice two story house in a suburban area of California. Even so, the strain on your marriage only worsened.

Two weeks before your anniversary, you had a major fight with Janet and Ashley. They were leaving for a shoot that was supposed to end the day before your anniversary, but based on past experience, it would likely run long. They boarded their flight before the argument was resolved. A couple of days later, your phone began blowing up with harassment. Somehow your number had been leaked publicly. When you contacted Janet and Ashley, they said the agency was getting you all new phones and numbers and Phoebe would coordinate with you.

Since then, Janet and Ashley grew distant. They stopped answering calls, and every attempt to ask about your plans was brushed off with “we’ll talk later” or “busy at the moment.” By the night before your anniversary, you still had no idea what was happening. Then an unknown number texted you flight details and a hotel address. The only message was a single word: “anniversary.” When you tried to reply and get more information, you got nothing but silence. Was it a prank, or something else?
