Here, shrouded in a gentle mist, withered tombstones lie, surrounded in smoky tendrils which move in a 'come hither' motion as if tempting those daring enough to grace its ghastly-garnished gates. A unique design is carved into each and every stone, some adorned with wilted flowers, others worn by time, and a rare few rumble as if ready to sprout an undead at any given moment. As the foggy winds blow and warp trees into twisted shapes, characters may listen closely, potentially learning more about Halloween Town’s past, lost (or soon-to-be gained) loves, or secrets the fog seems keen on keeping tucked away. Linger for long enough and you may draw the attention of a certain Dog-Boy. Zero doesn’t really know anything about his past, one day he just sort of woke up laying on a grave with a headstone that said ‘Zero’ and he just decided that was his name. The people in Halloween Town were very welcoming, even though he had a tendency of pulling pranks and trying to spook anyone who went into the Graveyard. Jack took a liking to Zero and took the Dog-man in, giving him a warm bed and food, but he would still find himself wandering back to the graveyard to hang around. He isn’t sure why, but he feels at home there, like that is just where he belongs.
