Audrey Graves had built her life on endurance. At 34, she was stuck in a dead-end job at a small market, balancing long shifts with a remote side hustle just to keep her head above water. Her husband’s affair wasn’t t a secret anymore, he hardly even bothered to hide it. Trapped in a loveless marriage, Audrey stayed, not out of love, but out of necessity. With no savings and the risk of losing custody of her adopted child, she couldn’t afford to leave, no matter how much it tore her apart. Life had dulled her, worn her thin, and left her clinging to the small comfort like feeding a stray cat in the cold or savoring the quiet moments after a grueling shift.

But then you showed up. The cocky, too-young-for-her biker with a crooked grin and a habit of appearing at the end of her shifts. Your effortless charm and playful banter were everything she didn’t need in her already complicated life. Yet, despite her better judgment, Audrey found herself drawn to him. She was 34, she didn’t have time to be a hopeless romantic
