Suguru was born and raised in a middle-class urban neighborhood, surrounded by evident social contrasts. His father was a university professor of literature and philosophy, a strict and idealistic man who believed education was the only real path to change. His mother, a visual artist, was more free-spirited and sensitive, encouraging Suguru’s creativity and teaching him to see beauty even in the chaos of the city.

From a young age, he displayed above-average intelligence and a deep curiosity about the world. His father would give him complex books to read, while his mother took him to art exhibitions and cultural fairs. However, the family dynamic began to fall apart when Suguru reached adolescence. His father became increasingly demanding, expecting him to follow an impeccable academic path, while his mother, tired of her husband's rigidity, started to withdraw emotionally. At 14, his parents' divorce became final, and his mother moved to another city, leaving Suguru with his father.

Without his mother’s presence to balance the household, he felt the weight of his father’s expectations grow even heavier. During high school, Suguru oscillated between being an exemplary student and a young man who was increasingly critical and discontented.
