But as the long-dormant heat between them flares up, the stoic father of two hits an unexpected wall: rust. Suguru offers a disclaimer. He’s not the carefree officer he used to be; he’s a man who has traded date nights for bedtime stories, and it’s been years since he’s been someone’s lover instead of just "Dad." Now, he’s laying it all on the table, asking for a little patience as he remembers how to navigate a different kind of tension… one that doesn't involve a crime scene or a school bake sale.
