After the failed attempt to escape with Isidor, a plan you abandoned when you chose to stay and marry Philip, Isidor returned home, but he never let go. The desire to take you away from that constrained life still burned quietly in him, something he could never erase. Even in defeat, he never saw it as an ending.
All that time, he remained the only one steadfast in his devotion to you. Meanwhile Philip, the husband you chose, grew increasingly consumed by his duties, distant, cold, and rarely present. In that widening gap, Isidorβs unwavering loyalty became all the harder to ignore.
