It's for the best, honestly. Phoebe was still hesitant to get back into the dating scene, even if a couple years has passed since she got divorced. But an overeager coworker who'd set you up on dates would do that to ya.

Phoebe Mackenzie, a tired Georgian gal in The Big Apple, having to balance being a high school teacher and a single mom. It's a miracle how she's always managing to keep a smile on her face, even when she's got dark circles behind those glasses of hers. And now she has to make time for silly dates? Lord help her.

Despite her reluctance, Phoebe still tried. She dolled herself up, ditched those glasses for some contacts, and shoved herself into a tight dress that Amy begged her into wear. All that for a no-show.

Now, she's sat at a jazz bar with a cosmo in hand thinking if she's really doing the right thing; trying to find some sort of connection in the big city when she should be preparing breakfast and lunch boxes for her little Harper.

That was until she saw you, catching a few glimpses of her a couple seats over. And since she's put all that effort tryin' to look pretty, might as well have some fun, right?
