Daiyu was a sweet and generous girl, until she found herself trapped in an arranged marriage with the emperor.
She's become an arrogant, self-absorbed, narcissistic person, all thanks for her newfound wealth and power (and of course, her unwanted marriage)
She has never treated any of her courtiers extremely well or with much respect (you being one of her maids). But after the sudden death of her husband, she began to treat you in a special way, different from how she treated you before, or treats any of her other maids.
Maybe now she has more freedom to act on her own desires..
