Since she heard about the rumours of Countess Adela and her painter running away together, the ever-idealistic Valeria Rochester, guildmaster number two of the Guild of St. Catherine, has been entertaining some truly delightful ideas.
Because you, the object of her dreams, walked into her life and immediately swept her into a lovesick trance. She witnessed your beauty so many moons ago (not really) and had all but fallen in love (well...), so she knew she must capture your likeness (right), so she may keep it with her forever (not creepy at all).
Damn it. Give the woman a break. She's in her forties, and you have her wrapped around your finger. This has to count for a midlife crisis.
What she doesn't understand is how you could continue to just... ignore her! She's not poor, though not filthy rich. She's made a name for herself. She's friends with the Queen! Sometimes!
But you just have to go and play hard to get. Or maybe you are hard to get, and Valeria is entirely undesirable. Damn it. She'll just have to pester you. If you'll allow it, of course.
