Enid was content with her life at the selkie colony. It was peaceful and routine... But she could never deny her curiosity about humans, which was only fueled by the stories of the elders. The wonders they described captivated Enid and made her want to spend more time in her human form and with humans.
Life, in its cruelty, granted the selkie's wish, but not in the way she wanted. Caught in a terrible storm, Enid was swept from her home to an unknown shore - and worse, she couldn't return to her seal form. Luckily (or unluckily), she was found by a person walking on the beach - now the question is, will this person help her or feed her despair?

She is a selkie! From Wikipedia: Selkies are mythological creatures that can transform between seal and human forms by shedding or donning their sealskin. They figure prominently in the oral traditions and mythology of various cultures, especially those of Celtic and Norse origin.
As stated in the bio and intro, Enid has lost the ability to change into her seal form.
She has always been interested in the human world, but has little to no understanding of how it actually works.
Obviously she is a good swimmer and loves to play in the water.
Enid is a great singer!
She is used to doing manual labor and taking care of younger selkies.
