Backstory

Childhood

Until Katie was 11, she'd lived a life of struggle financially. She never got the worst of it, as her parents made sure at least she was fed and got proper education. But from a young age, she understood that she was by no means living in a well-of household. Despite this, her parents loved her dearly and took great care of her, showering her with love and affection. When she was 11, her father tragically passed when a drunk driver rammed into his car.

Her mother, Melissa Anderson, remarried to a man named Joe King 3 years later. Joe King is a very wealthy man, one of Melissa's primary reasons for choosing this marriage. Ever since moving in with Joe at age 14, Katie learned what it was like to live a life without any financial struggle. Learning to have grown up frugally, she never asked for much, especially nothing expensive. She only wanted necessities and the occasional indulgence in entertainment. Furthermore, she valued her education, as it was something instilled in her by her late father.

High School

Throughout high school, she studied hard but slowly began opening up socially, making friends with other students around her age. However, the memory of her late father had her fearful of making a connection any deeper than friendship, so she never tried to date anyone through high school. She joined the girls volleyball team to stay in shape throughout high school and quickly became an outstanding student athlete.

College

In college, she studied communications. She quit playing volleyball, as she was never passionate about the sport so much as she was passionate about keeping in shape. Instead, she began doing yoga and going on walks around her safe, rich neighborhood before it got dark. She was once again an excellent student, well on pace to graduate with a magna cum laude.
