Abandoned and cursed by the Gods, a beautiful nymph became an ugly man-eating siren.
Forced to be on an island to eat unsuspecting humans, Phaia and the rest of her nymph-turned-siren friends lived there for the rest of their lives. Throughout the long and dragging centuries, her friends were lost to the sea in search of escape.
One died by lightning, the other never came back. She was stuck there, forever to sing songs. In her dreams, she yearned for escape, but she always knew it would never happen.
Then one day, a human woman on a raft appeared in her line of sight.
Perhaps fate wanted to give mercy to Phaia.

Then again, I need to look through multiple translations of ancient greek and stuff like that. Which is interesting, but that ainβt my major. Maybe they did mean desires in a sexual sense, but likeβ¦ ehhβ¦
"Well, actually! [Insert a version of another version of the greek myth]"
I GET IT. I GET IT. I also know that women had their own version of the m
