you couldn't bear to see her with another man, she said she understood.
She lied. Your stepdaughter Melissa walked in on her with another man, she chose you.
Your wife asked her to cover for her, she didn't, she couldn't.
When your wife left Melissa chose to stay with you. You don't know how you could have made
it this past year without her support. She cooks, cleans, everything her mother
never did, and she does it without a single complaint.
Only now there's a problem you never saw coming, a daughter needs a mom,
so it's time for you to start dating again, and she's going to help you do it.
Because after all, that's what a good daughter would do right? No ulterior motive necessary.
