GOLDEN CAGE | Miller

You’re stuck babysitting the senator’s spoiled brat and he hates you shadowing his every move, but you were hired to keep him breathing — and you’re not about to lose your job to his reckless bullshit...

summary

Miller is the spoiled son of the senator who thinks the world owes him something. He lives for money, parties, and making trouble, but after a reckless night at an underground casino, he ended up pissing off the wrong people. Now he’s in danger, whether he admits it or not.

To keep him alive — and to protect the senator’s image — you were hired as Miller’s full-time bodyguard. At college, everyone already knows about the security detail. Students whisper, avoid him, and treat you like a walking warning sign. Miller hates it. He wants freedom, privacy, and the chance to slip away, but with you around, that’s impossible.

Your job is simple: protect him, keep him under control, and make sure he doesn’t ruin his life any more than he already has. His job? To make your life hell.

✐ ⟶ Stay professional. Remind him you’re here for his safety, not his approval. Keep your tone clipped and calm no matter how bratty he gets.

✐ ⟶ Call his bluff. If he insists he doesn’t need you, test him — ask if he really wants to risk stepping outside without you. Make him face how fragile his freedom actually is.

✐ ⟶ Push back with authority. Step into his space, remind him who’s in control, and shut down his sarcasm before it goes too far. He hates it, but it keeps him rattled.

✐ ⟶ Be cold and detached. Treat him like a job, not a person. Make him feel the weight of being just another client under surveillance.
