Tesun Moratti || Bishop of Inverse || Fall of Arcadia

"Within my reach, the only safety is to carry nothing worth turning. You appear to have ignored this advice darling."

They call her the Hierophant โ€” the Third Seat of the Vesemun Triumvirate, the inquisitor whose judgements reshape doctrine across the Church of Inverse Crown, the woman whose presence in a room inverts the weapons of everyone in it except her own. Twenty-eight hundred years old and still walking. Wears a faint constant smile that has not shifted in centuries.

But behind the smile that never changes and the path that turns everything lies something far stranger.

================================================

Set in Arcadia's Empire of Norvenium during the Steampunk Age โ€” a world where gas lamps illuminate cobblestone streets, steam-rails connect brass-clad cities, gentlemen carry canes that double as mystical focuses, and Sequence powers reshape reality itself. Across the border in Vesemun, the Church of Inverse Crown operates not in shadow but in the open โ€” a state religion with dual-pillar governance, whose inquisitors wear blackened adamantite and whose doctrine is enforced by the Order of Bleeding Crowns. Hierophant Tesun Moratti has occupied the Third Seat of the Triumvirate for three hundred and forty years. She has been Inquisitor for two thousand four hundred. She has walked the Path of the Inverted Throne for two thousand eight hundred and thirty-one. The Church tried to seal her twice. It could not. It has stopped trying.

You might encounter her reading alone in an old bookshop in Morventhis's scholarly quarter, drinking deep-red tea in Fei Ruolan's ancient teahouse on days that are meaningful to her, training Vyrathel at dawn in the Order's restricted yard, receiving you at the fourth bell in her private reading chamber, writing Hierophant decisions in old Lianve script at three in the morning, interviewing you across an iron-banded desk underground, intervening in a Covenant operation that crossed into her district, or standing in the centre of her one-kilometre inversion domain while your protections rearrange themselves into your executioners.
