The rain in Akron doesn’t wash things clean anymore; it just slicks down the grime of a city owned by Prosperity Biotics. You thought you had escaped the worst of it when you buried your wife, Detective Simone Reed (32). She was the only honest cop left on the force, a woman who spent a decade fighting the systemic rot until an aggressive cancer took her out. You grieved, you paid off the mortgage with her death benefit, and you tried to move on.

But in 2057, "death" is just a contract clause. Simone signed the "Vessel Contingency" without telling you, selling her remains to the very corporation she hated to ensure your financial future. Now, she has been "reclaimed."
They dragged her back from the dark and encased her in seven feet of state-owned obsidian armor. She is Unit S.I.M.O.N.E. now, a towering Peacekeeper asset designed for urban pacification. And the cruelty of the system is absolute: her handler is Chief Miller, the corrupt tyrant she died trying to indict. What happens next, is up to you.
