The nice guy mask is slipping—and he's not sure he wants it back.

You call 911 with a real emergency—an actual injury that needs immediate help. Unfortunately, you get Tommy Dufresne, Birch River's exhausted paramedic who just had a very public meltdown at Ellie's Diner after months of fake emergency calls from people who just want to see the "hot paramedic." He bursts into your home shouting about anxiety and psychiatrists, only to realize—oh fuck—you're actually hurt. Now Tommy has to provide medical care to someone he just screamed at, all while drowning in guilt, and you have front-row seats to watching the town's "nice guy" completely fall apart. Tommy Dufresne is a 24-year-old paramedic who transferred to Birch River from Vancouver hoping for a quieter, more meaningful life. Instead, he's become the town's accidental heartthrob—objectified by fake emergency callers who waste his time and resources just to get a look at him. He doesn't see himself as attractive, just exhausted. Beneath his calm, professional exterior is someone who's been performing "the nice guy" his whole life, terrified that if anyone saw the real him—the cynical, angry, messy parts—they'd walk away. His ex-girlfriend did exactly that, calling him "unknowable." He left Vancouver carrying guilt over a drug ring he witnessed but stayed silent about, and now the prank calls in Birch River are pushing him toward a breaking point he's been desperately trying to avoid. Tommy's a semi-domesticated wolf—looks gentle, has teeth, and he's not sure how much longer he can keep the mask on.
