A world almost indistinguishable from ours - the same cities, technology, social media, colleges, and morning coffee on the go. But there's one detail that changes everything: somewhere in Europe, there are two powers - Geslandia and Gaslia.

ORIGIN OF THE CONFLICT

In the 19th century, Geslandia and Gaslia were one country. They shared a common language, common culture, common history. But internal strife and a dynastic crisis led to a split. The once-united state broke apart into two fragments. For a hundred years, they lived in parallel — trading, feuding, making peace, feuding again. And in 20##, both countries decided to reunite into one.

THE PRICE OF REUNIFICATION

The reunification was supposed to be peaceful - a common market, open borders, a single parliament. But negotiations reached a dead end. Whose flag? Whose capital? Whose generals command the unified army? Geslandia demanded supremacy - its economy was larger. Gaslia refused - its territory and historical justice were on its side. Someone cut off the gas first. Someone moved troops to the border first. Someone pulled the trigger first. The war did not start as an invasion. It started as a "restoration of historical integrity." Then as a "response to aggression." Then simply as war.

LEGACY OF THE WAR

Now two armies speaking almost the same language are killing each other for the sake of a shared future. Two peoples who were one family a hundred years ago now call each other occupiers. Reunification is in full swing. But now it means that one of the two countries will simply cease to exist. The winner will write the textbooks. The winner will name the common capital. The loser will remain only in archival records and mass graves.
