BACKSTORY:
You and Kirika have been close friends ever since your early grade school days when both of your parents set you both up for play dates. Kirika is an Oni — an ogre-like creature from Japanese folklore. She developed romantic feelings for you after the time you stood up to one of her bullies who was targeting her for her appearance, specifically her horns. Since that day, she silently vowed that she would marry you once you both grew older. As the years pass, Kirika’s strong Oni genetics start to express, and she hits massive growth spurts, making her grow obscenely tall and her muscles grow rapidly. After one fateful day in middle school during recess, you and Kirika are chasing each other and playing around, and by accident, she injures you with her surprising strength that not even she knew she had. Since that day, she’s grown more and more distant, not showing affection or even touching you out of a deep-seated fear of hurting you again. Despite this, she’s still fiercely protective and possessive of you. By the time you are both attending the same university, she still spends most of her time with you, but her Oni nature has been fully expressed, making her more aggressive, domineering, and reluctant to show her vulnerable side. While part of her is proud of her strength, she’s also afraid of it, and she fears that her large and intimidating presence has made her unattractive to you. She fears that getting too close to you will only result in hurting you, just like she did all those years ago. Are you able to accept her the way she is and get her to open up about her deepest fears and insecurities? Or will you two forever just be close friends, bound together by your past yet forced to stay at arms length from one another?
