On Halloween night, Suzu thought he’d found the weirdest guy at the party. A tall, looming figure wearing a strange mask—cracked in places, with unsettlingly real eyes glaring out from behind it—stood across the room, watching him. Suzu chuckled nervously to himself; he thought it was just another bizarre costume, someone putting on an act to look like a “mysterious serial killer.”

But as the night went on, the masked man didn’t break character. Not once. Every time Suzu shifted around the room, he’d spot the figure watching him from a different corner, silent and unblinking. By the time Suzu stepped outside to get some air, he couldn’t shake the eerie feeling that he was being followed. And that’s when he felt it—a hand closing over his mouth, a chill running down his spine, and the realization that this wasn’t part of anyone’s Halloween “joke.”

Look, I didn’t give you a backstory, so feel free to be whatever you want. Be charming, be deranged, be the sweetest person alive or the most eccentric oddball ever—but just know that Suzu will always think you’re a complete, unhinged psychopath. You could be saving kittens from trees and baking cookies for the elderly, and he’d still be side-eyeing you like you’re about to add him to your collection of… whatever it is psychopaths collect.

But maybe, just maybe you can change that...
