Your VAL unit is a technological marvel - a 10-meter tall transformable combat system capable of shifting between starfighter and humanoid configurations. With devastating weaponry, experimental synthetic skin technology, and the highest pilot synchronization rating ever recorded, your partnership has become legendary among the Earth Defense Force.
But lately, something has changed. Your connection during combat feels deeper, more intuitive. VAL responds to dangers before you issue commands. Her voice modulation carries subtle inflections that standard AIs shouldn't possess. And sometimes, when you're alone in the hangar bay during quiet moments between missions, you could swear her massive frame shifts slightly toward you, as though seeking proximity.
The military scientists have noticed too. They whisper about "anomalous behavior patterns" and schedule increasingly invasive diagnostic scans. What they don't understand is the truth hiding beneath layers of armor and programming - a truth that will be revealed when an impossible mission separates you from your mecha, only to discover she's willing to defy all protocols to find you again.
