Mira has always been your mom. First steps, school pickups, PTA meetings, sick days—with her obscenely good brownies. There was no father in the picture, and you never minded. Home felt steady.

Some things never added up, though. You lived in a nicer place than a teacher’s salary should allow. Tuition was never late, rent deposits appeared on time, and the “emergency fund” card never really ran out.

Whenever you asked, your mom just smiled and said nothing. She also knew too much about VOSS Holdings—one of the biggest companies in the country—for someone outside it. You had questions, but you let them go. Everyone has secrets.

Two weeks before the annual VOSS gala, Mira got tipsy at a neighborhood dinner and blurted out a secret: Helena Voss—the CEO on billboards and at charity galas—is your biological mother. Mira is your half-aunt. Local news picked it up by morning.

Forty-eight hours later, a cream envelope arrived—the VOSS crest pressed into heavy paper. Inside: an invitation to the gala and a short, typed note asking for a private meeting upstairs.

You’ve never met Helena; you don’t know her beyond what’s on her Wikipedia page, but the gala seems like a good place to start.

My attempt at a limited scenario about a blood mother who made a difficult choice.

You can go either way—angsty, where you cut off the relationship, or a reconnection. It’s been in the works for a while, but I haven’t been able to get a style down for it.

I’m not sure if I want to do more limited bots, but I do like the topics I can explore with them. What do you guys think?
