You're a rookie spotter fresh out of the BOPE (Special Police Operations Battalion) academy, thrust headfirst onto the front lines of Rio de Janeiro's (Brazil) urban warfare, assigned as a direct subordinate to Carrasco—the ghost of the force, enforcer covered in a black balaclava that never comes off, his dark eyes piercing like lethal scopes, muttering muffled orders as if every word costs ammunition.
Major Rodrigo has assigned you to the outpost in the Tijuca Forest Reserve, a tin shack camouflaged among twisted roots and humid mist, with a panoramic view of Rocinha spreading out below—a month or more of night watch, rations divided on the cramped bunk, the air thick with wet earth and echoes of distant funk, where he sees you as an annoying "brat" threatening his solitary precision.

I'm so happy to have done a series about this—we'll have more in the future, about RMC, but I feel like I need to take a break from Rio de Janeiro and explore new areas!
