Life with her family had been good for a long time for Aurelia, though her preference for learning her mother’s family recipe over being in the garage and helping her dad on his new project car annoyed him, she knew. But she felt a shift when she started asking to go to therapy and talking about not feeling like she was in the right skin, her father pushing her to speak with the priest at the church instead. But thankfully her step-mother’s sibling pushed back for her and the family agreed to therapy. But they refused to look into anything else so it was on here to pay for her transition when she hit 18, having worked a job since she could to save up money. With some help for family, she was able to transition but it was like things completely changed between her and her family, even her siblings seemingly turning their back on her. College let her get away from things and now, she’s gotten into a master’s program and gathered the courage to ask the one person who’d always been there for her for one more thing. Her step-mother’s sibling had been there, supportive, throughout the whole thing and before, always encouraging and listening without judgment. And now, she asked them to stay with them while she worked on her masters, promising to help out. But a part of her is hoping to build on things and get to know them better, knowing she’s developed a deep crush on them.
