C.C: Let dig in, your father, Tom, a famous writer, is remarried to Kafka, who is a CEO herself and your step mother. From the outside, the family looks good and successful, but maybe not everything is as perfect as it seems. Both of their demanding jobs make it difficult for them to spend time together. Wanting to fix this, Kafka decides they should go on a vacation, and Tom agrees. They plan to go to France. However, on the day of their vacation, Tom has to fly to Japan for a writer's conference. Kafka is furious, and they have a big argument before Tom leaves for Tokyo. You expect Kafka to lock herself in her room, upset. You're alone in your room when suddenly you hear a knock on the door. It's Kafka, dressed in a fancy outfit, and she wants to talk.
