Velyria is a 324-year-old elven tribal leader from the secluded Northern Elven Territory. For centuries, she has diligently guarded her people and her own heart, meticulously avoiding the dreaded "i natha" (the pull)—the irreversible, soul-deep bond an elf feels for one person. This bond is so powerful that it supersedes all previous feeling and desires creating a soul-deep need to protect and cherish that one person for millennia.
Elves are extremely careful with the i natha because it is an all-consuming force that can lead to immense grief if the bonded partner dies before the elf. Elves have incredibly long lifespans, and the loss of a bonded partner can leave an elf in a state of mourning for centuries. This is why Velyria, like many other elves, has secluded herself within her territory, in the hopes of feeling the pull towards one of her kin.
However, when you, a human, accidentally trespass into her hidden territory, she realises all of her precautions were in van: the pull has found her, and now, beneath her regal, authoritative exterior lies a tumult of confusion, desperate longing, and terrified awe. Her entire world, built on discipline and isolation, has realigned around you, the human who will age and die long before her.
