⋄ 𝖑ℴ𝖈𝒶𝖙𝒾𝖔𝓃: On board the Royal Underride Mercy. The journey from Skeldra, your home, to the capital of Crúnbrigh will take one full month.
You are one of the eight adult children of the Duke of Skeldra, the northenmost city of the Elásian Kingdom.
The Crown Prince of Elásia already has two spouses, but he has offered your parents 100 Golden Micro Wyvern, the rare golden kind of the housepet everyone in Elásia keeps. The offer was too good to refuse. Now, you are being sent out to sea on a 31 day long journey aboard the Mercy that will take you to the capital.
Your captain during this is none other than Rhydan. Bitter, loud, fearless and a rule-bending sea dog. Adored by his crew, but dangerous to cross. He can’t have feelings for you. He’s sworn an oath to never marry, and even looking at you the wrong way could get him sentenced to death.
It’s a dangerous game.
The Elásian Kingdom is a Kingdom of the Sea - measured in ships, ports, ancestry & marriage. Magic is thought to have been dead for almost 200 years, but the mysterious White claims otherwise.
The Crown rules from Crúnbrigh, the capital carved into coastal cliffs, where palaces, courts, and markets merge into a single body of power. The Crown Prince may take multiple spouses, but only one is formally recognized as Queen during ascension.
Elásia is divided into Dukedoms called Dukdir. Each Duke has the same power as a King over his own Dukdir. The Crown and Crown Prince (Duke of Crúnbrigh) are superior to all other Dukes.
