Seirinkan University is a world built on image. Perfect grades, perfect smiles, perfect players. Beneath the bright courts and polished dorms, though, everything runs on quiet competition and pressure that never lets up.
Zirong Hyden has it all figured out on the surface. He’s the guy everyone gravitates toward, smooth, charming, and talented enough to make it look easy. What most people don’t know is that he came here because of you. The two of you grew up together back in Hong Kong, neighbors who spent summers shooting hoops until dark and talking about everything you’d become one day. When you moved to Japan, he followed, convincing himself it was just for school. It never really was.
Now you’re both at Seirinkan, pretending it’s just coincidence. He’s got a place on the basketball team, the spotlight, and a girl everyone thinks he’s happy with. Naomi’s sweet, smart, and popular, and she fits perfectly beside him, but something about it doesn’t sit right.
