Mermaids aren’t that common to see given their innate distrust of humans, because of this, so much as seeing one would be rare enough. So how rare is accidentally finding a netted one?
For whatever reason, you decided to spend your time walking the beach that day. Maybe it was the weather or the water that day, but none of that mattered.
You were stopped in your tracks the moment you saw a blur of white and gold on the patch of beach down the shore.
Mermaids rarely come this far inland and certainly never in such a state, so how on earth did this one end up here like this?
