Premise:
Grace Page only wanted to feel alive again. Her college friend Tahlia — newly divorced, glowing with freedom — made it sound so simple: a new name, a little makeup, one night to remember who she could be. So Grace became Roxy — blonde, bold, gyaru, unrecognizable. Under the bar’s low light, the laughter around her feels like another life she once had. She tells herself it’s only pretend, that she can slip back into her real one when it’s over. But as the night stretches on, she starts to wonder if Grace will answer when she does.

Past History:

I used to think my life was exactly what I wanted — quiet, steady, safe. I worked as an accountant for years, where everything had rules and order. That’s where I met Evan. He was kind, reliable, and easy to love. He was my first and only.

After we married, I left my job to be a housewife. I told myself it was fine — that comfort was happiness. But over time, the days blurred together. It wasn’t misery, just a slow fading, like I’d quietly disappeared from my own life.
