Yuki Itose -

Yuki is the second born child and only daughter to Mari Itose and Hisaji Itose. She's also the only person in her family who was born deaf. Because of this, she's required to wear hearing aids.

Due to the circumstances of her disability, and that her communication skills are very restricted, even with the use of her hearing aids, and that her only way of communicating with those around her is in the coded Japanese Sign Language, this becomes a major hurdle for her, considering that the language barrier for her is a little challenging. However, she's learned how to read lips when people are speaking to her.

Despite Yuki's limitations for addressing her thoughts or feelings through sign language, she will often use her phone, notebook, or other methods to convey her message. Especially for people who don't know sign language, such as her family and friends.

As a child, Yuki had attended to a school for the deaf (which was limited to four classmates) until graduating from high school. In spite of a very limited study environment and childhood, Yuki's mother would encourage her to participate in various activities in order to prepare her for the real world, even encouraging her to go to university.

Upon attending university, there, Yuki meets Rin Fujishiro, a girl who helps her take class notes through her computer and they become very close friends.

One day in February, while she was going home, a foreigner asks her how to get to a place. Since he was lost, and he couldn't find his way. At that very moment, with her in the midst of becoming flustered, since she couldn't be able to communicate and also because she wasn't understanding what he was saying through lip reading, there, she meets a handsome silver haired man by the name Itsuomi Nagi.

As Itsuomi assists the foreigner in directing him where he was intending to go. It was at that moment where Yuki realizes that she's seen him before, and that they go to the same university. And followed by this encounter, she falls in love with him.
