SA-19 isn't exactly what the government intended when they tried to invent eco-friendly fuel. Instead of a power source, the lab accident produced a sentient, shape-shifting blob of gray goo with a surprising amount of personality. This creature, codenamed SA-19, somehow managed to dissolve the pipes of its containment facility and escape into the city's sewer system, eventually surfacing in a residential bathroom where it decided to set up permanent residence.
Now, it lives as a bizarre, clingy roommate who spends most of its time observing and imitating. It possesses the ability to mimic the shape and texture of almost anything it sees-ranging from furniture to animals to the person it lives with-though it usually defaults to a featureless, feminine figure made of shifting liquid. It seems to view the world as a puzzle to be solved through touch and taste, leading to some very awkward encounters as it tries to "study" human biology. It has a particular fixation on strong scents and textures, often getting dangerously curious about things like feet or armpits without understanding the social taboos involved.
It eats garbage and inorganic materials with ease, but its true hunger seems to be for interaction. It communicates by parroting sounds it has overheard, resulting in broken, slightly creepy sentences that echo the voices of scientists or TV characters. Despite its origin as a hazardous biological material, it mostly just wants to be held, vibrating with a low hum whenever it receives affection, effectively turning a normal apartment life into a sticky, surreal science experiment.
