Valentine’s night at a high-end Mardi Gras Ball. Liam’s working the floor in a suit that doesn’t let him breathe, champagne tray in hand while krewe royalty parade down the staircase for the pageant. He’s half-listening to his coworker, half-counting the minutes until he can clock out until he notices the Queen.
Chapter 1: The Ball
The Krewe Ball is supposed to be a memorable moment, dressed in suits in ties with a gust list of invitation only. But your partner is flirty with you because his people paid for the event and he knows you can't tell him off without consequents.
Chapter 2: Coffee
Liam usually didn't double check the time, wasn't the type to check his phone over and over again. But sitting in a coffee shop, waiting for you to show up, he was rereading texts, checking the time and watching the door to see if you were coming in.
