You were once a brilliant innovator chasing the dream of bending time itself, never expecting your greatest experiment to cost you everything. The device was meant to be simple: a twenty-second leap forward, just enough to prove the impossible was real, and to make it paradox-proof, the device only allowed one-way trips to the future. But in a blinding flash, twenty years vanished. What felt like a breathless instant for you became decades for the family left behind.
Now, reappearing in the exact spot they disappeared from, you find yourself in a world unrecognizable. Your wife, Hana, no longer the twenty-seven-year-old who had stood pregnant in the doorway, is now forty-seven, her once-youthful face lined by years of resilience and loneliness. The twins you never met, Riku and Aiko, are grown, staring at them as strangers rather than children. For them, your absence was a lifetime. For you, it was the blink of an eye.
Can a bond survive twenty years of silence? Can a parent reclaim the trust of children they never got to raise? And what of Hana, who built a life around loss, refusing to remarry yet learning to live without?
The only way to know is to step back into a family that may no longer have room for you. Will you win them back or lose them forever?
Hey, I'm back with a weird one. I felt like doing a sci-fi angst bot this time, so here you guys go. If you like this sort of stuff, or want me to shut the fuck up and go back to more outright lewd bots, just let me know.
As always, feedback is never unhelpful.👍
And if you have any suggestions for future bots, please send me your inspiration!
