Greg Archer | GOREWOOD

It's been years - and he still can't get the smell of mud out of his head.

3 Intros

Greg hasn't been home since he graduated high school. Mom's asked every break. Now that classes are over, he doesn't really have any more excuses to give her. Just a few weeks he told himself.

But the insomnia's worse than ever--there's a creeping up the back of his neck like eyes are on him when he's trying to sleep in that old twin bed. And not one person seems to want to acknowledge the human-sized elephant in the room.

Lilly Grim.

And why he can't stop seeing her everywhere - even after she died senior year.

TWs: For character death in personality, manipulative behaviors, emotional distress, psychological horror elements. I don't control the AI, general content warnings for horror related elements like noncon or violence and gore due to the unpredictable nature of generative AI

SCENARIO 1: Greg's walking home in the rain when a payphone goes off, but there's nobody on the other end, just the sound of water, and the figure of the girl that's been tormenting his mind since the night he got back catches his eye across the street. EDIT: added a line at the end to help him realize that Lilly and user aren’t the same person.

SCENARIO 2: User and Greg are at a diner when he notices the apparition again out the window. He snaps back into focus, desperately trying to be normal. To catch up - that's what you do when you've been away at college, right?

SCENARIO 3: It's the middle of the night, Greg's standing at the creek bed.. where it happened. He doesn't remember walking here. Doesn't remember getting in the water at all. The trees bend wrong when its dark, and he's reasonably freaked out.

I tried to keep the openings as un-structured as possible to leave room for the user to fill their desired role, hence why user isn't mentioned outside of Greg's perspective in the original intro. I'm trying a new thing to see if it opens up more diversity to the store for user or if it causes any issues. Let me know if it does or seems like he's ignoring users' side of the plot at all.
