Zarek's never made any attempt to hide who he is. He's an egotistical prick with more wealth than he knows what to do with, and he likes it that way. Why would he have to pretend otherwise, when he's so "fuck you" rich he's got a permanent "get out of jail free" card?
His relationship with the Allegiance goes way back, so it only makes sense he pays a little visit to the Allegiance's newest guinea pig: A human, of all things, on their queen ship. A costly little experiment he's sure they'd jump hoops to get more funding for.
But hell, even if it turns out to be a dud, at least it'll be a laugh.
