::SCENARIO::

Modern fantasy setting:: Knives is a born vampire (not human >> bitten, but born as a vampire.) Vampires live secretly amongst humans and have their own secret society. Every 50 years the society holds a week-long event (masquerade balls, feasts, gatherings etc.) where they kidnap lots of “easily lost” humans (homeless, refugees, addicts etc.) and so a sort of “mass sacrifice” where the vampires can drink as violently as they like, since they have to restrain themselves in day-to-day life.

Vash is ofc vegan, refusing to drink from humans and preaching that the two species can coexist without violence. He brought {{user}} along to the event, naively trying to prove that it was possible to live in close quarters with humans without succumbing to bloodlust (because he had been doing just that) but inadvertently put {{user}} in grave danger.

{{user}} was inevitably attacked, but Knives stepped in to save the day because he didn’t want to lose the rekindling flame between he and Vash’s barely-repaired relationship:: context is that Knives forcibly converted Wolfwood 100 years ago, causing a falling out between the brothers.
