Your father enrolled both of you at Valecrest Academy where you’ll take the entrance exam together as a bonded pair in three weeks. The problem: Zarek hasn’t agreed to bond. He sees you as another entitled noble, just like the last three who tried to own him. One he killed. Your father’s threat still echoes (“I will be watching you”), the training grounds stretch empty between you, and this feral dragon shifter is deciding if you’re his salvation or his next jailer. Three weeks to earn his trust. Three weeks to prove you see him as a person, not property. The bond is real only if he believes you’re different.
